Content is King

The landscape of meetings are changing.  Budgets, time restrictions, travel can dissuade attendance at conferences and events but by webcasting, one can virtually participate.  Webcasting can’t replace the in-room experience and the networking opportunities that occur during an event but webcasting can include those who physically can’t attend.

Webcasting cannot only supplement an event by enabling those to participate virtually, but you can also create a unique experience for the webcast participant using a number of tools meant to engage the online audience – tools that aren’t even available to those attending in person.  Polling, voting, blogging, ability to share and download information in real time and interact with those in-room as well as online are all features that can easily take a one-sided webcast – into unique experieince onto its own.

Live Streaming your event gives your organization an opportunity to re-enforce your brand, highlights sponsors and partners and engineer an experience that is unique to the webcast.  You go from a viewer to participant.

Also, If content is king – wouldn’t you want a record of it?  By webcasting an event it doesn’t just disappear into the ether after the event takes place.   It lives on, a record is kept that can be referred back to, used for training, re-purposed to better showcase the content, etc.
